Wyre Piddle

A quintessential English village in the heart of Worcestershire in the Wychavon district.

The village stands on the banks of the River Avon where it is joined by The Piddle Brook. Recent excavations have found evidence of Roman and late Iron age occupation.

There are two public houses in the village. One is The Anchor Inn which has been recently refurbished and serves a wide range of beers and wines and has a freshly prepared menu and there is a riverside garden. The Wyre Piddle Brewery brews the famous Piddle in A Hole and numerous other ales.

The village is well situated for access to Worcester and Evesham and all other towns and cities in the West Midlands and the motorway network

The village was home to Claude Choules ,born 1901 and became the last surviving male veteran of World War 1. He died in Perth aged 110.
